The Padmanagara dance team has once again achieved a proud accomplishment at the university level. Representing the Educational Institute category, the Padma team successfully delivered its best performance at the 2026 Arsawati Dance Competition, organized by Tracee UMN at Multimedia Nusantara University on Friday, September 11, 2026.
Thorough Preparation for Maximum Performance
The Padma team’s participation in this event began with information about the competition shared by their coach. Seizing this opportunity, Padma sent a team consisting of five talented dancers:
* Alya Putri Purwanto (705240160)
* Puan Ghanes Laudiyani (705240278)
* Syabrina Dhiya Salsabiila (705250342)
* Nasywa Annura (705250172)
* Cikal Tsaabita Ilmi (705250142).
To ensure optimal results, all team members underwent an intensive training program three times a week for two weeks. Over the course of six in-depth training sessions, the team members refined their choreography, improved technical details, and worked with their coaches to address any shortcomings.
The Struggle on the Arsawati Stage 2026
Performing a dance titled “Kagenep Andau Bawi Itah,” the Padma team was assigned the second performance slot and took the stage at 9:30 a.m. WIB. Over the course of six minutes, the five dancers presented a choreographed routine that was rigorously judged based on the criteria of Wirasa (expression), Wirama (rhythm and tempo), and Wiraga (precision of movement).
After all the participants had showcased their best work, the event continued with a review and commentary session by the panel of judges, leading up to the announcement of the winners. Thanks to their consistent and heartfelt performances, the Padma team’s hard work paid off as they claimed the championship title at the event.
Impressions and Hopes
Team representative Puan Ghanes Laudiyani—commonly known as Ghanes—expressed deep pride and gratitude for this achievement. The lengthy process, marked by adjustments to the choreography and joint evaluations, actually served as an opportunity for the members to improve their dancing skills.
“We are so proud and happy that all the hard work we’ve put in through our dedicated training has finally been recognized with this championship title,” said Ghanes on behalf of Padmanagara.
In closing, the Padma team also shared words of encouragement for their fellow students who are striving to achieve their dreams. They believe that consistency and hard work will always yield the best results in due time.
